Sadboy Loko is a hip hop artist from Santa Barbara, California, known for blending traditional Chicano rap with contemporary elements to create a unique style. His lyrics are emotional, insightful, and thought-provoking, often delivering powerful messages through storytelling. He gained recognition in 2012 with his first single, "I am Still Here," catching the attention of YG, who featured him on two songs from his 2016 album, "Still Brazy." Sadboy gained national attention in 2015 when he was signed to YG's label, 4Hunnid Records, and released hit songs like "Gang Signs" and "Bruisin'." His career was halted in 2018 after being implicated in an incident that led to charges of attempted murder, robbery, and assault with a gang enhancement. After accepting a plea deal, he was sentenced to three years in prison and released early in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He wasted no time getting back to work, releasing "I'm Still Here 2" in 2021 and expanding into reggaeton and corrido with "Sin Fronteras" in 2022. Sadboy Loko is now focused on his legacy as an independent artist and creating generational wealth, not only for his immediate family but also for his community. He has a new EP called "For The Hood" produced, mixed, engineered, and performed by talents from his hood and inner cities in Southern California - Necole Key . “It starts at home.
