Singer/songwriter CODY BELEW kicked off 2023 as a member of CMT’s coveted “Listen Up” program, which counts Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Marren Morris, and Kelsea Ballerini among its alumni. May 2023 saw the release of his single “Charlene” which chronicled his experienced religious trauma as a Southern Baptist within the LGBTQ+ community. The anthem resonated heavily with fans and its powerful music video has since amassed over 1 million views on YouTube. Cody has been highlighted in WWD and Vanity Fair for his distinctive fashion sense and profiled by NBC and Extra, among others. His star is rapidly rising with the September 2023 release of the title track “I Did It For Love” from his forthcoming debut album of the same name. The song was inspired by the actions of another artist whose insecurities made a villain out of Cody, making way for the realization that everything he does comes from a place of love.
