Howard Charles
Howard Charles (born Charles Howard Green), is an up-and-coming house music producer from Leeds (U.K), taking influence from Tchami, Shaun Frank & Disclosure. Growing up fanatically playing the guitar & drums, Charles developed a keen sense of melody & groove, before devoting himself to music production in the wave of the late 2000's. A product of years of dedication, and hundreds of demos later, the Howard Charles artist project debuted in 2019 with 'Heartbeat EP'. The significance of naming Heartbeat the title track, being it was the first sign of life to the wider music scene. With that experience gained, then came the release of his sophomore effort 'Leaving EP' in 2020. Progressing from the previous, with a deeper, more melodic sound, and less of the repetitive vocal sampling! From the start, BBC Introducing showed a strong support, with numerous features on the radio & online, notably placing 'Game' in their top 5 tracks of the week, saying “He just knows how to get the party started!”. Charles has received support from a number of playlisters, bloggers, and fellow DJs across the world - like Detroit based DJ duo Golf Clap, and even made it into the Hype Machine & Submithub Popular Charts. Currently hidden away in the studio working on EP no.3, Charles is honing the craft of production, and developing his signature sound. With a growing presence online, word is beginning to spread about this new prospect, tipped as one to watch – with exciting times ahead.
