Chingboss was born and raised in one of the most beautiful places in Jamaica – Clarendon
As a boy, he excelled at Cross Primary and Junior High School before moving on to one of the few traditional high schools in the parish, Vere Technical High School
For Richard’s family, school is an important passage of right and one of the greatest lessons learned from his high school educational journey is to “never give up and always try your best, and education is the key.”
Music called to Richard in those early years, as he and his childhood best friend would often listen to music together. As he grew, his interest changed from being a listener to an active participant by way of producing beats and even testing the waters as an artist himself, something he does well.

Despite his success, Richard is sticking to being humble and notes that the best advice he can give to fans is to “pray every day and believe in god because he is the one who will open all doors for us to be successful.”
