Shreyas Joshi
Shreyas Sagvekar is a 27-year-old multilingual rapper, music producer, battle rapper and recording artist from Pune, India. Growing up across Ratnagiri, Mumbai and Pune, Shreyas was trained by his grandfather in Bhaktigeete (Marathi devotional music tradition), he also learnt to play the harmonium and dholak at a young age.
These influences make Shreyas’ music the perfect handshake between our country’s traditional sound and the western culture of Hip Hop. Beyond music, he is also known for the Independent Initiatives he takes as an artist, working towards building a long term sustainable design for himself as well as aiming to lay a blueprint for his fellow and upcoming musicians.
