Aattam kalasamithi is one of the most popular percussion bands from kerala. The alterations and inventions done by aattam on traditional shinkari melam marks the beginning of A new era in shinkari melam and has gained widespread acceptance across the globe. Aattam kalasamithi was originally founded in 1999 in Kollannur Kaiparambu, Thrissur. A group of 24 talented chenda artists. Aattam has been A heart-throb and moreover an emotion among the musical fanatics across the globe. They had performed in various popular shows like Comedy Utsavam, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, etc… and also alongside with the famous musicians Stephen devassy and Rajesh Cherthala, at many occasions. Fortunately, Aattam kalasamithi also became a part of numerous award nights conducted by Flowers T.V, Surya T.V, and Zee keralam.
