SPC Kal
24-year-old Sepang native SPC Kal is an independent rapper, producer and singer-songwriter who’s been building a lane of their own in the local underground scene since early 2019. Fusing raw and modern synth-heavy trap with elements of pop, rage and sometimes R&B, Kal brings a genre-fluid, emotionally charged energy into every track they're on and has successfully shown their growth as an artist over the past years. Drawing inspiration from Kanye West, Baby Keem and Playboi Carti, Kal often times deliver harsh yet catchy lyrics over unpredictable, sometimes moody production, best showcased by "SPC Kal", the fifth studio album and their most ambitious project to date, which was released in September 2024. The 16-track statement LP also features major voices in the local scene, with ChronicalZ, F.Rider and Pele L. just to name a few. Beyond the mic, SPC Kal is also a sought-after producer and DJ in the Malaysian underground, contributing beats and creative direction to artists like ChronicalZ, Sophiarazk and 1k of the legendary group FORCEPARKBOIS. Now as part of Liquid Molly Records, Kal truly solidified their status as one of the most must-see act in the Malaysian underground scene.
